Description
The OLAS Tag is a waterproof, compact transmitter which can be easily worn and tracked by any OLAS Receiver.
The OLAS tag can be used with the free OLAS app as a standalone MOB alert system or combined with the OLAS Guardian, N2K or Core to create a larger safety system.
Download the mobile application and switch on the tag to create a virtual tether between the tag and the phone / tablet. If crew leave the vessel or fall overboard the alarm will be triggered. OLAS then offers clear guidance to remaining crew aiding in a successful MOB recovery and communication with emergency services.
The OLAS tag can also be used as a Smart Key to unlock the Guardian or N2K’s Smart Lock system which can be used to lock traditional kill switch systems.
Track multiple tags, customise the names and monitor battery life within the OLAS app.
Up to 6 OLAS Tags can be tracked directly using the OLAS mobile app.
Up to between 15 and 25 OLAS Tags can be tracked by the OLAS receivers, the N2K, the Guardian or the Core.
Use OLAS to:
- Ensure all crew members are present
- Significantly increase the chance of self-rescue in a Man Overboard emergency
- Clearly and concisely transfer relevant information to the coast guard
When the virtual tether is ‘broken’ the OLAS receiver will:
- Emit an audible alarm and light signal
- Record the time and GPS location where the incident occurred, and your current GPS location
- Clearly illustrate the direction and course to return to the alert GPS location
