Important information for a long service life of your battery
Always start your journey with a pre-charged battery. Recharge your battery after every ride. Never store them unloaded. For safety reasons, disconnect the + pole before planned longer downtimes. Note that a lead-acid battery has up to 15% self-discharge per month. Hermetically sealed AGM and GEL batteries only 3-4% and Lithium (LifePO4) batteries only 2-3%. The service life of a battery is also closely linked to the charging cycles that can be achieved. With all these criteria, the LifePO4 batteries are at the top. Please note: self-discharge and charging cycles are temperature-dependent and measured at around 20C. Insufficiently charged or switched off consumers, especially in the milliampere range, can cause total damage to your battery. Avoid using your battery in the engine compartment, because from approx. 50C a battery will take little or no charge. The use of a suitable and suitable charger is also essential.
